I’ve been waiting for what feels like forever to get the conclusion on the Cruel series. K.A Linde left us with major cliffhangers after each of the two previous books. Many people dislike cliffhangers and associate series or duets as standalone’s in a world but that’s not usually the case. I personally love cliffhangers, they give me a reason to want to read the next book, aside from wanting to get a glimpse at the characters I’ve fallen in love with. The suspense was killing me and this book didn’t disappoint. It’s the best book in the series by far. There were so many ups and downs and twists and turns I didn’t see any of it coming. We started this book our right where we left off in the previous book. If you haven’t read the previous two books you need to go back and read them for the rest of the book to make any sense. I loved Natalie and her style and personality and she is very much a character I could see myself being friends with. It also had the perfect ending and truly ended the series with all your questions answered but left it open for more in case there were to be a new series with the same characters but different main characters. The book was the perfect ending to the series. This is only the third book by this author I’ve read and I can’t wait to dive into more of her books. The plot from this series alone is one that has never been done before, at least it’s nothing I’ve ever read. It’s primarily set in the Upper East Side of New York City and throughout the book it actually felt like you were living the story along with the characters. I would love for this series to come to life as a movie. Definite 5 star read. It was a page turner for sure, one I had a hard time putting down. It’s a series I plan on reading over again.
